FROM STONE TO SCULPTURE:
THE MAKING OF SEDUCTION

Seduction began as a 250 pound block of Rainbow Sandstone

The first step was to sketch an outline of the desired form onto the block of stone

The outline was then carved out of the block using a core drill

The next step was to begin sanding out the ridges from the core drill and begin the rough shaping

Fine sanding and shaping allows the final form to gradually appear

The final form is further sanded to achieve the desired finish

The sculpture is then mounted on a basalt base and is ready for exhibition
